Therapy for Residents of Milton, MA

Contact

One of the reasons that many people start to look for help is when they feel stuck. This can show up in various ways in life. Maybe you feel stuck in the monotony of daily life and like you’re unfulfilled, bored, or lacking passion, for example. Or, perhaps you feel stuck emotionally, such as with depression, anxiety, or other undesirable emotional mind and body states that show up when struggling. Some people feel stuck in certain patterns in relationships, or not knowing how to get out of their own way with others, or struggling to maintain intimacy, commitment, or otherwise. Stuck can really refer to just not moving forward the way you want to in life. When we feel stuck, it can be tempting to try to push forward without necessarily knowing how to break out of the negative obstacles. This can often even make things worse when the same repetitions are happening over and over.

In therapy, we address what you’re needing help with. We get to know how you’re feeling stuck, what is causing it, and how you want to move forward. Often, this involves us reflecting, processing, and getting to know on a deeper level what is in your way. Sometimes this can mean sorting through and understanding the painful moments and experiences that we carry with us in life from trauma or other experiences. Depression and anxiety can often be in response to things that happen in our lives along the way that we don’t always fully realize how much these things impact us until we stop to listen to ourselves.

Along with depression, anxiety, and relationships, I also work with panic attacks, fear of flying, agoraphobia, grass is greener syndrome, grief and loss, trauma, as well as people who struggle with migraines. If you feel stuck or struggling, reach out to see how I can be of help.
