Commitment Challenges and ‘Grass is Greener’ Relationship Patterns

Commitment struggles can be exhausting and frustrating.

One of my more unique specialties is helping people who struggle with ‘grass is greener’ patterns. As part of this, people can often feel that the grass is greener on the other side. You may struggle to feel intimately close with others, can’t quite settle down, or constantly urge to run away from relationships (or careers, or where to live) and start over. You may also feel trapped and unable to make clear decisions in various areas of life or experiencing life as passing you by out of fear of making the wrong decision.

‘Grass is Greener’ patterns is often experienced when the excitement of the current situation starts to fade, or a more seemingly attractive option presents itself. The looming temptation to chase the next attractive possibility can become a pattern, making it difficult to feel fulfilled and settled in life.
