Nathan Feiles, MSW, LCSW-R

I have a background in several modalities of therapy, which allows me to take a more comprehensive and integrative approach to your therapy. The approaches we will use are based on what makes the most sense for you and are decided together.

The style of our work together is rooted in relational psychotherapy (this is the most common, up-to-date form of what people know as “therapy”). We have the conversations you want to have, process emotions (whether current, or older emotions that have been carried with you over time), learn about the deeper dynamics, reflect and discover together, all as a part of working through the overarching and underlying issues you’re wanting us to focus on.

Background & First Session

Nathan Feiles, therapy officeI am an LCSW-R (licensed clinical social worker with reimbursement privilege — this will help you to be reimbursed by your insurance for our sessions if you are covered out of network). I have a master’s degree from NYU and trained for four years post-graduate in comprehensive adult psychotherapy and contemporary psychoanalysis from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in NYC.

At our first session, I’d like to hear what brings you to me while also starting to learn about you, your current situation, and a bit of your history, as well. It’s okay if not every emotion or life detail is ready to come out right away. It takes time to build trust and readiness for certain conversations to come forward. A good first step is just starting the conversation.
