The life of being a student in a big city can be exhausting, busy, and stressful. If you’re an undergraduate, it may be your first time living away from home, trying to navigate the world around you on your own while also in a new living arrangement, with new people around you, and trying to possibly manage a job alongside your classes. On top of all of this, you’re also trying to figure out who you are as a person, separate from your family. It’s a time of constant growth and change.
I work with college and graduate students who are all trying to figure out their place in the greater world. Navigating schedules and responsibilities is part of the daily hustle. But also navigating the internal changes and emotions in the midst of all of it. Depression and anxiety may sometimes take over, or feeling like you have too many things that need your focus and attention at the same time. Maybe you’re just starting to seriously navigate relationships of your own and struggling to manage conflicts and different dynamics.
In therapy, our aim is to slow life down for you to be able to put your feet on the ground and create the life you want.
Specialties
Our work is personalized to your situation. As an integrative therapist, I often do a combination of “talk” therapy and analysis with some mind-body and emotional regulation work, when it’s useful. Other specialties and areas of expertise (such as trauma and ADHD) are also not listed here. Reach out to me to discuss your needs.
