When you’re used to moving quickly through life, or constantly on the go, trying to remain in control day after day, it sometimes becomes habitual to neglect our own emotional needs. While at first it may work to “push through” life and try to ignore the difficulties and challenges, that only works so long before we start to feel it. It is especially hard when try to bypass painful experiences such as trauma, or other difficulties that happen in life.
For everyone it manifests a bit differently. But you may experience emotional struggles like anxiety or depression, or constantly feeling stressed and on edge. Others may experience somatic issues such as an increase in headaches, migraine episodes, and other types of chronic pain that seem to go medically unexplained. While others might experience an increase in phobias such as fear of flying or agoraphobia, and more. Sometimes it’s a combination of some or all of these, in addition to others.
No one is meant to go through life without help. As a therapist, I offer therapy to help make your journey through life more fulfilling, manageable, and lighter. I offer a space to help you heal and to create change so you can have the life you desire.
